Antelope Day

Ralph with the outdoor Museum shop

The annual Friends Lunch in the gardens of St John's House started with the wind and rain, as members of the committee and friends organisation set up the tents on the lawn. However by the time the guests and the Warwickshire Volunteer Band arrived the gods looked kindly on us with a break in the rain.

The guests were entertained by the musicians of the Band playing various well known military marches, as well as a Great War re-enactment group and a Field Marshal Montgomery look alike. The guests were also provided with drinks and lovely food prepared by Helen Willaby. The Regimental Museum was open as normal and many guests took the opportunity to look round the many fine displays.
The aim of this event was to raise money for the Friends group, so that they can provide help and support with Museum projects and equipment. Thanks to many kind donations and the proceeds of the raffle the event was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
