An Amazing theatrical telling of Hannah Snell performed by Talking Birds
'The Female Warrior; Or, the Surprising Life and Adventures of Hannah Snell' will be performed by renowned Coventry based theatre company, Talking Birds.
This special piece will bring to life the remarkable story of Hannah Snell who disguised herself as a man in 1745. She joined the Sixth Foot (which became the Royal Warwickshire Regiment) in Coventry and then the Marines in her quest for her missing husband. She did this for 5 years - discover for yourself the full story by coming to a Free performance (no need to book) in the garden.
1.30pm and 3.30pm on the Saturday 27th and Monday 29th May. Relax and enjoy the day in the pleasant grounds. Visit the museum and HMS Cupcake will be on site to provide delicious cake with tea or coffee. There will also be an evening performance at 7.30pm on Saturday inside the Museum itself. Wine and fruit juice will be available.
